Metropolitan State University of 丹佛’s Office of 多样性 和 Inclusion is accepting applications for 多样性、公平和包容 faculty-fellow positions for tenured 和 tenure-track faculty members.  

There are three positions available, 和 fellows can expect to work closely with the director for faculty diversity research 和 development under the direction of the vice president for 多样性 和 Inclusion. 研究员 will administer programs 和 initiatives developed by the Office of 多样性 和 Inclusion to advance the University’s Strategic Plan 和 the 多样性 Strategic Plan with attention to faculty recruitment/retention, 和 resources 和 support for faculty development. 

研究员 will work with the office to develop, maintain 和 assess a high level of centralized, comprehensive initiatives to promote 和 foster a diverse 和 inclusive climate within 密歇根州立大学丹佛’s academic 单位s 和 across the University. Emphasis 将 on underrepresented 和 minoritized faculty representation, among other vulnerable populations.

  • Theoretical foundation 和/or practical experience in diversity in employment 和/or educational centers.

Position 1: 教师 Development 和 Mentoring 

  • Develop curriculum 和 facilitate the Tenure Track Supper Club twice a 学期. 
  • Facilitate faculty engagement with the National Center for 教师 Development 和 多样性 membership (i.e., website development, email communications to faculty, media promotion, etc.). 
  • Facilitate 教师 Success Program participation. 
  • Facilitate Writing Challenge participation.

  • Collaborate on employee development with 教师 Development 和 Mentoring Fellow when appropriate.

Position 2: Diverse 教师 Recruitment 和 Retention Scholarship 和 Practice  

  • Enhance knowledge of diversity, equity 和 inclusion in higher-education scholarship.  
  • Literature review of relevant scholarship focused on DEI issues in relation to higher education faculty in collaboration with other Office of 多样性 和 Inclusion faculty fellows. 
  • Develop a database/website of resources for diverse faculty recruitment 和 retention. 
  • Identify scholarship to inform work with faculty on inclusive pedagogy, inclusion of DEI content in coursework 和 research into DEI issues.

Position 3: Staff Development (Collaboration With Human Resources) 

  • Collaborate with HR to develop 和 deliver culturally responsive-practices curriculum 和 training for staff.
  • Inventory of culturally responsive-practices development at 密歇根州立大学丹佛 和 accessible to 密歇根州立大学丹佛.

  • Collaborate on employee development with 教师 Development 和 Mentoring Fellow when appropriate.
